The evening was turning cool, after a day of intense heat.
The grown up children were out to the market to make purchases, for a festive dinner of suspense.
The kitchen was busy around eight pm, and by 8.30 pm dinner was served.
We had whole wheat chappathis, mint and cilantro chutney, paneer tikka, cabbage, carrot, bell peppers salad, and a few egged chappathis.
Each chappathi was individually catered, with initial buttering and some chutney smeared over it, then a central row of salad, and paneer tikka and the chappathi rolled with one end folded to prevent the salad, from dropping.
Hmmm. the rest is salivation.
For those who avoid egg, the chappathi, with the butter, chutney and paneer tikka rolled, go great, as long as u enjoy the company, and you have an appetite.
P. S.
Seated on the floor in a circle adds to the flavour, seeing others relish.
