The answer to the question, " How is the dish? " Lies in the face, and never in the words, while eating.
It was a simple dish for dinner, of dosai, coconut chutney, pulses powder and coconut oil, I had all the time, space and company, and with the relaxation, every morsel was chewed well and swallowed, one sense gets more aware when another gets shut. Delicious is that feeling.
Digestion of the food starts in the mouth, with good salivation, and that is the taste that is natural which lingers.
It is a pity we never get to reach that stage, as we have never been told, and never experienced, it is only the chemicals and spices, that kindled and bring on a taste.
To side track the chewing, we licked the pickles.
Bland foods can be tasty too. Many a lesson is learnt from animals, just notice that saintly look on the cow, chewing his dry cud, in the shade of a tree.
With this process, no one could over eat, or gorge themselves to obesity.
Next time at a meal, find time, space, chew your food to a few numbers, increase till it melts, swallow, and then the next bite, no one could complain about food at the table.
Every mouth is a blessing, the cooking was only the preparation.
